Supply

Most of the fish and seafood offered for sale at the Poissonnerie du Marché, located at the Marché public 440 in Laval, are from the East Coast, owing to its proximity to Quebec.  Shipments arrive from Canada and the Eastern United States, right down to Florida. They arrive by truck from Boston and New York.

New Zealand and Iceland also supply large quantities of fresh fish. Shipments from these two countries arrive by air twice weekly.
