Dungeness crab, live

The Dungeness crab lives in bays, estuaries and the nearshore coast of Alaska.
It is characterized by its broad, oval body, its hard, brownish shell, and its four pairs of walking legs and one pair of white-tipped claws. It is less than 8 inches long, with a less than 7 inches wide shell.
The Dungeness crab can be prepared in various ways. It is excellent in crab cakes, casseroles, bisque, Newburg, or even steamed and baked.
