Stone claw crab

Stone claw crab

The stone claw crab lives into the Atlantic Ocean from the coast of the Yucatan peninsula through the Gulf of Mexico, and as far as South Carolina. It is commercially harvested along the gulf coast of Florida.

The stone crab is characterized by its large claws and black tips.

It has a firm texture and a sweet buttery taste. The best is to serve it with melted butter.
